Epoch is the restaurant and bar inside The Exeter Inn, a few steps from the shops and the river in downtown Exeter.

New American cooking: classic technique, New England ingredients, and a menu that changes with the season. Seafood off the seacoast, produce from farms a short drive away, and a short, well-chosen list of wine and cocktails to go with it.

The bar stays easy for a weeknight; the dining room is ready for the nights that matter; and in summer, the courtyard opens under the trees.

The Courtyard

A garden courtyard with a gazebo and covered seating, tucked off Front Street. Pet-friendly, with live music on select summer evenings.

The Bar

Cocktails poured with intent and a short bar-bites menu. Happy hour Tuesday through Thursday, four to five.
